What Sets EVFREAKS Batteries Apart?
We manufacture at a small scale in Germany in-house, ensuring cell quality verified to A++. Our 72V batteries use only premium cells: Samsung, Molicell - grade A++. High-quality cells offer bigger capacity, better resistance, and less voltage sag, resulting in more range and consistent power delivery, with less heat and more power overall. Our battery casings are made from stainless steel, laser cut from 1.5mm stainless steel, and laser welded to ensure durability and safety. Our motto is quality over quantity, which is why we don’t import ready-made batteries or resell them.
Range Expectations:
Range depends on factors such as rider weight, terrain, riding style, gearing, wheel size, and sprocket size. Our team rides on EVFREAKS race Sur-Ron weighing 70kg, with a 72V 55Ah dominator battery, BAC8000 controller, and TORP TM25 motor running 25kW or 33.3HP. With a rider weight of 85kg, plus gear, spare tools, water, and full armor adding another 15kg, the total weight is 100kg. This setup does approximately 50mile range in hard off-road riding, including steep inclines, wheelies, and wheel spins, running 25kW peak and 600 phase amps. This feels like a stark Varg, though it could run more phase amps up to 800, but that would generate more heat.
45AH vs. 55AH: The Capacity Dilemma:
The debate between 45Ah and 55Ah batteries is significant. Realistically, 45Ah offers 50% more capacity than stock, while 55Ah offers 70-80% more range. With the 60V 65Ah battery, you get up to 100% more range, but its discharge is limited to 12kW peak since it is not a high-discharge battery. Still, it is a substantial upgrade considering your stock Sur-Ron runs 4.8kW - 6kW peak.
Safety Assurance:
BT BMS (Battery Management System) meticulously monitors all vital parameters, such as group cells, and self-balances as needed. It reads the temperature of the cells and BMS and switches off if parameters are exceeded. This ensures cell longevity and safety, regulating current to prevent damage under extreme loads.

We recommend having it installed at our workshop in Manchester by professionals, even if we supply fitting instructions.
